About the museum

A virtual soil museum, open and reusable.

What it is

This museum brings the soils of Guatemala to schoolchildren, students, teachers and professionals. Each profile is stored once and told in four different ways, without losing scientific rigour.

    Full classification, horizon table and charts.

  3. The data

    Open files in JSON and CSV to reuse.

A museum for every country

All content lives in a single folder of text files. Another country or institution can copy the project, replace that folder with its own soils, languages and colours, and publish its museum with one command.

  1. Copy the repository
  2. Edit the museum/ folder
  3. Run docker compose up

Project status

This is a first prototype version. The profiles and their data are illustrative and must be replaced with information reviewed by the responsible institutions.
